This establishment dates back to 1821 and is well known for being a sporting tailor, specialising in shooting atire and riding wear. Nowadays it is a much smaller opperation spanning one floor of the 6 story building.
This is where I am to learn the art of Cutting. Something of which has been a dream of mine for many years. To be able to learn in a tailoring house that is not scared to embrace the modern aspects of the world we live in, makes for an even more interesting time as an apprentice!
Nortons also encoroprates E.Tautz & Sons, once a tailors famed for dressing the legendary Winston Churchill (amongst others) now has been recreated as a Luxury ready to wear label focusing on the best of British! This brand is growing at a great speed as Patrick Grant was named BFC Menswear Designer of the year 2010. Its very exciting for me to see the ins and outs of the brand as it develops.
